Mar. 18th, 2010 09:08 pmIts a rule that I have to write some of my story every day, even if I can only manage a few sentences, even if its crap (since it can be edited later when I'm typing it up - which has happened many many times).
Chance has just been introduced, and I'd forgotten how much I love him, hehe.
What I really need to work on now that he's been introduced is making it more like a novel and less like and anime! He was very animated in the first draft which works out well in some mediums but doesn't translate well to others. I'm sure I'll be able to have his character show through in a less dramatic and more effective way in this draft. Especially with his pet mouse, Tera. Just because it is kind of a fantasy story doesn't mean that it doesn't have to be realistic too.
I also realized that Enre is a farmer, and as such would be less than sympathetic towards mice. Dur, how could I have missed that in the first draft? Well, she now thinks Tera is preposterous.
Shopping around for print-on-demand self publishing sites, so far the free ones I've found have kinda bad quality reviews. Either way, those days are probably a long way off since I've got a whole draft to write, edit, etc etc.
I'm also obsessing over some new characters of mine but cannot write them as of yet due to Enre's story. Its alright though, since I need time to work out the details of what happens with them anyway.
