Crying over books
Mar. 27th, 2010 01:37 amSo I just recalled the time I cried in class over a biography of Edgar Allen Poe that we were watching, and its no big secret to many people that I used to sob at least once a day.
Now I don't cry nearly as much, which I suppose is very well.
Anyway, it dawned on me that I rarely ever cry over books. Maybe it is because I need my wits about me in order to keep reading? Maybe because I read books from the garbage (and they were likely put there for a reason).
There are only a few books I remember crying over...the last Harry Potter book had me crying, I remember, but I don't think previous ones did. Another is Dead Water Zone by Kenneth Oppel. There are a few mangas I think that had me cry, but I don't necessarily count those as books.
That's all that I remember, which is shocking given my large reputation for crying at anything.
So, non-existant livejournal friends, have you ever cried over books? Which ones? Does it happen often?
